Create and bake anime-inspired rocks directly inside Blender.

This is a free add-on designed to help you quickly generate "Ghibli-style" rocks for your scenes or games. It offers a simple pipeline to generate random rock shapes, apply a stylized procedural material (complete with moss and snow), and bake the result into a game-ready, UV-mapped low-poly mesh.

  • Procedural Generation: Instantly spawn unique rock shapes with customizable "lumpiness," scaling, and random seeds.
  • Shelves & Details: Automatically scatter smaller rocks or "shelves" onto the main body to create complex silhouettes.
  • Stylized Material System: Includes a vivid, anime-inspired procedural shader with:
    • Moss & Snow Layers: Controllable via simple sliders (height, slope, and fuzziness).
    • Edge Highlights: Automatically detects sharp edges for that hand-painted look.
    • AO Masking: Darkens crevices to add depth.
  • One-Click Baking: Automatically triangulates, unwraps, and bakes the complex procedural colors onto a standard texture (1K, 2K, or 4K), ready for export to Unity, Unreal, or Godot.

  1. Download the .py file.
  2. Open Blender (Tested on Blender 4.0+).
  3. Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
  4. Click Install... at the top right and select the downloaded file.
  5. Check the box next to "Object: Stylized Rock Gen" to enable it.
  6. Press N in the 3D Viewport to open the sidebar and find the "Stylized Rock Gen" tab.

  1. Generate: Click the button to spawn a base rock.
  2. Shape: Use the "Shape & Size" sliders to adjust the silhouette.
  3. Material: Use the "Material" sliders to control how much moss or snow covers the rock, and how soft the transitions should be.
  4. Bake: Select your desired texture resolution (default is 2K) and click "Bake Rock".
    • Note: The addon will automatically clean up geometry and generate UVs for you.

  • This is my first plugin! Please treat this as an experimental tool. It works, but it might be a little quirky.
  • UV Artifacts: The auto-unwrapping system ("Smart Project") is generally reliable, but occasionally it may create awkward seams or texture stretching on very complex or twisted shapes.
  • Performance: The baking process requires Blender to calculate complex lighting and nodes. It may feel sluggish or appear to freeze for a few seconds (or longer on older machines) while baking. Please be patient and let it finish!
